Universal design for learning is an approach to respond to the care of students with functional diversity in inclusive education at the General Veracruz Basic Educational Center.

Abstract

The objective of this project is the implementation of a pedagogical day on Universal Design for Learning with the aim that all teachers are equipped with updated knowledge and have the notion and clarity regarding its development. For this, the General Veracruz Basic Educational Center was selected, which has been venturing into inclusive education for some time, therefore, it is necessary to offer guidelines to address educational diversity in the classroom. The main objective of the research is to analyze the relationship between the pedagogical model of the General Veracruz Basic Educational Center, in Panama City, and the teaching practices of the teachers who work in this institution, taking as a reference the principles of Universal Design for the Learning under the paradigm of qualitative research, with an educational approach, where techniques specific to this paradigm are used, such as observation, review, systematization and analysis of information. With the purpose of knowing its validity and effectiveness, an instrument is developed that consists of a survey aimed at undergraduate teachers. The responses obtained allow us to determine the final conclusions and recommendations.
