Universa brings Karl-Bernd Telger onto the supervisory board

The previous deputy chairman of the supervisory board, Professor Dr. Heinz-Willi Goelden resigned from his supervisory board mandate at Universa on August 31, 2024 due to health reasons. Now the lawyer Karl-Bernd Telger, who, among other things, was with the Münchener Verein Versicherungsgruppe for a long time, is taking over.

Dr. Heinz-Willi Goelden has been a member of the supervisory board since 2006. The member representatives of Universa Krankenversicherung aG and Universa Lebensversicherung aG as well as the general meetings of UniVersa Allgemeine Versicherung AG and Universa Beteiligungs-AG have each elected Karl-Bernd Telger as a new supervisory board member for the remainder of the term of office of the resigned supervisory board member, effective November 1, 2024 .

Karl-Bernd Telger has many years of experience in the insurance industry and previously worked as a condition trustee for uniVersa Krankenversicherung aG. Between 1983 and 1990 he worked as an insurance lawyer at the Partner Insurance Group. In 1990 he moved to DBV-Winterthur in Wiesbaden as head of health management. From 2000 to 2002, Telger was a managing board member of the Hesse PKV regional association. From 2003 to June 2010 he was a member of the management of the Münchener Verein insurance group in Munich and headed the health insurance department. Telger is also a lawyer and conditions trustee for other insurance companies and for the Association of Private Health Insurance.

As of September 1, the supervisory board elected Gerhard Aldfinger, who has been a member of these committees since 2006, as deputy chairman of the supervisory board.
