An American drove 30 years at the wheel of his Volvo. After 1.6 million kilometers traveled, the brand gave him a new vehicle as a gift.
1.6 million kilometers with a 1991 Volvo 740 GLE? It’s possible. A resident of Missouri in the United States did so and received a brand new vehicle as a gift, reports the American media KTVI.
It was the Volvo brand that decided to offer him a new car. A gesture to thank him for his loyalty and perhaps publicity. “In the dealership where I bought my car, in 1991, a guy had just received a car as a gift because he had kept it for thirty years,” the man told the American chain, “before add: “I said to myself: if he can do it, why not me?”.
After driving his Volvo 740 GLE for 30 years, he returned to his dealership to tell the tale. The same dealership manager served him and made the announcement, “We are thrilled to be able to take care of Jim and give him a new car.”
