First there was the metal column, which mysteriously appeared in late November in a remote location in Utah, in the northern United States. The metal monolith had finally disappeared as strangely as it had appeared … and had made “little ones”, in Romania, in the United Kingdom, but also in France, near Toulouse, in Deux-Sèvres or even in Jura. Friday, for Christmas, a new monolith appeared in a park on the heights of San Francisco, California. But the column is not made of metal … but of delicious gingerbread. Homage to Stanley Kubrick, work of art or publicity stunt: the origin of the various monoliths that “grew” across the world has not been explicitly claimed.
