If convicted, the man and woman will have no choice but to sell their home. – Kathleen and George Rowe, two Cypress retirees, learned on June 11 that several of their neighbors had filed a lawsuit against them. They claim that by feeding the ducks, the couple always attracts more birds, which destroy their gardens and defile the surroundings with their droppings. – The homeowners association behind the lawsuit says the retirees broke community rules. According to them, they have created “dirty, health-hazardous and disorderly” conditions that can “disturb or destroy vegetation, wildlife, wetlands or air quality”, detailed Insider. – Kathleen and George Rowe had been warned several times but continued to feed the ducks. Mrs Rowe explained that she had grown fond of and pitied the ducks. – If these two retirees were to lose the lawsuit, they could be condemned to pay up to 250,000 dollars in compensation.
