The Supreme Court of the United States, Scotus for short, rejected this weekend the Texas complaint, in a judgment as pithy as it summarizes a paragraph explaining that Texas did not have the legitimacy to ask the Supreme Court to rule on the way in which another state organizes the elections.
Move along, nothing to see.
Here, Scotus did not rule on the unconstitutionality of the acts and decisions of the States concerned, nor on the reality of the alleged fraud.
Scotus just told Texas he didn’t have standing.
So is it over?
Always not.
Because other appeals are in progress, including before the Supreme Court.
After that Trump will have the nuclear option of the 2018 Executive Order, which must be triggered, from what I understand, no later than 45 days after the election which brings us to the end of this week. .
Will he press the button?
Will he go to the end or to Florida?
I do not know, and it seems that Laurence Haim, although she does not say it has quite similar doubts !!!
