“It’s not me, it’s my wife.” In the United States, guests of prominent antivax Robert F. Kennedy Jr. had, to their astonishment, to be vaccinated or tested against Covid-19 before they could attend a party in his California home, reports Politico. Speaking to the newspaper, Kennedy said his wife, actress Cheryl Hines, was behind the request. “I’m not always the boss at home”, he told the political news site, making it clear that no effort had been made to check the status of his guests upon their arrival.
“I believe that every person has the right to make decisions about health without coercion, threat or force by governments, employers and citizens”, he also said in a statement sent by his anti-tax nonprofit, Children’s Health Defense, to the newspaper The Hill.

An influencer antivax
Robert F Kennedy Jr., 67, is the nephew of President John F. Kennedy and the second son of Robert F. Kennedy, United States Attorney General, New York Senator and Democratic presidential candidate who was assassinated in 1968. This lawyer is a leading conspiracy theorist on vaccines, including those approved to fight Covid-19, which has killed more than 805,000 in the United States.
Last month Kennedy published a book in which he notably attacked Joe Biden’s chief medical adviser and called the period “world war on democracy and public health”. It quickly became a bestseller on Amazon.

Earlier this week, the Associated Press (AP) further reported that Children’s Health Defense more than doubled revenue in the first year of the pandemic, with $ 6.8 million in revenue. With these gains, the association recently extended the reach of its newsletter, launched an Internet TV channel and a movie studio. The AP also said that CHD had become a “alternative and natural medicine site” leading, with millions of users.
Earlier this year, Kennedy was kicked from Instagram for sharing false information about Covid-19. His Facebook page remains active, however, as does his Twitter account.
At the restaurant of the Trump Tower, vaccination pass compulsory
Still on Twitter, journalist Théo Laubry reports an equally funny situation at Trump Tower, where visitors are forced to wear a mask and present a vaccination pass to eat in the restaurant located on the ground floor. “A hard blow for the anti-tax ‘patriots’ and the QAnon …”, he writes.
Early December, a study has shown that people living in counties that voted overwhelmingly for Trump were nearly three times more likely to die from Covid, with the vaccination rate only being 25% on average.
If this measure at the entrance to the Trump Tower may seem surprising, it is actually due to the policy adopted by the city of New York, which since September 13 requires proof of vaccination to access the interior of restaurants, sports and performance halls.
