(AOF) – The purchasing managers index (PMI) in services compiled by the IHS Markit came out in first estimate at 70.1 for the month of May. This is significantly above market expectations (64.5) and April’s figure (64.7). In the manufacturing sector, the index stood at 61.5, against 60.2 expected and 60.5 the previous month. The composite is 68.1, up from 63.5 in April.
