While picking up his lunch at a McDonald’s drive-thru near his home, a young American discovered wads of cash instead of his McMuffin.
Josiah, an American TikTokeur, last week recounted the amazing adventure he had just had when he went to a branch of McDonald’s to collect his lunch. In the bag supposed to contain his McMuffin, the young man indeed found several wads of banknotes: “What is in this bag? Just a few thousand dollars!” he related on TikTok.
So what to do? Keep the jackpot, 5000 dollars, or give it back? “Why? Why are they doing this? Now I have to return them because I’m a good person,” Josiah said. In his publication, we see him go to the fast food restaurant with the bag and give it to the employees, visibly relieved. As a thank you, Josiah received $200 and will be able to enjoy McDonald’s food for free for a month.
On social networks, the gesture of the young man has generated many comments, many people admitting that they would not have returned the sum. “This guy is probably the dumbest guy in America. The company is worth billions, a few thousand less would not hurt them”, can we read in particular on Twitter.
