Drew Gottfried has reserved a surprise for his wife Kayla on the occasion of their 14th wedding anniversary. He has therefore privatized a cinema. The couple who had united on July 20, 2007 in Harrisburg in Oregon (United States) thought that the video of their wedding had been deleted by accident, says Fox News in an article identified by the Huffington Post. The husband found the images and projected them to his wife on the big screen.
In wanting to transfer the images filmed on the wedding day by a friend to a DVD, the Gottfries had discovered after their honeymoon that the video cassette was blank. Disappointed, the two Americans had accepted this stroke of fate. But a Harrisburg parishioner who was friend of the couple found the recording of the religious ceremony among old cassettes stored at the town’s church. He recognized the two spouses there.

Alerted to the find, Drew Gottfried decided to reveal its existence to his wife in an original way. He invited Kayla to the cinema where she thought she was seeing one of her favorite movies. But after the trailers, images of the wedding appeared. The 35-year-old American filmed his wife’s reaction and posted the video on TikTok on July 21. Upon discovering the images, Kayla Gottfried could not believe her eyes and began to laugh and cry with emotion.
“It is by far a greater surprise” never organized by her husband, commented the American. The popularity of the post on the social network, viewed 6.6 million times, also greatly surprised the couple. The Gottfries have since had several digital copies of their wedding video made for security.
