Christmas Eve is approaching and the United States Government seems to be ready for a curious task: protect Santa Claus, or as he is known in Latin America, Santa Claus.
At the latest Department of Defense press conference, a humorous exchange of words took place between a reporter and Major General Patrick Ryder, Pentagon spokesman.
The journalist asked the official if Defense will be in charge of escorting the biggest figure of Christmas in his gift delivery.
With complete seriousness, Ryder responded along the lines of the communicator:
“That is controlled and classified information. I can assure you that we will make sure that Santa gets to where he needs to go safely.”he pointed.
The major general concluded by saying that the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) “will have much more information to provide”.
Although it was a moment of relaxation, some Internet users did not take the spokesperson’s words well.
