The United States exceeded one million deaths from covid-19 on Tuesday, becoming the first country in the world to exceed this tragic figure, according to the independent count by Johns Hopkins University.
According to the registry of this university center, the United States, the country hardest hit by the pandemic that emerged in late 2019 in China, had 1,000,037 deaths at 4:40 p.m. local time (8:40 p.m. GMT) and more than 82 million confirmed infections of covid-19.
