United States and South Korea Nuclear War Exercises

PYONGYANG – Leader’s younger brother North Korea (North Korea) Kim Jong-un, Kim Yo-jong call training together United States of America (USA) and South Korea (South Korea) is a nuclear war “rehearsal”.

Kim Yo-jong, who is also deputy department director of the North Korean Workers’ Party Central Committee, warned on Tuesday (10/8).

“Regardless of the scale and mode, the joint military exercises are aggressive because these are war games and preliminary nuclear war drills to complement the preparations for implementing operational plans with a preemptive strike on us as the core,” Kim was quoted as saying by the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA).

According to him, Pyongyang will accelerate strengthening of its defense capacity in response to the actions of the US and South Korea.

“We will further spur to further enhance the absolute deterrent capacity to deal with the growing military threat from the US, namely a strong national defense and preemptive strike capability to quickly counter any military action against us,” Kim said.

“North Korea will fight the US on the principle of power for power and good faith for good faith,” Kim added.

He stressed that Washington must withdraw its troops from South Korea to organize peace across the Korean peninsula.

On Monday, media reported this week that Washington and Seoul would be making preparations for a joint computer-simulated military exercise that will take place from August 16-26 without any real maneuvers on the ground.

Each US and South Korean military exercises are always met with anger by North Korea. Pyongyang regards the drills as a threat to its country’s national security.
