A police officer was exposed to fentanyl during a traffic stop in Florida.

A traffic stop took place in Tavares County, Florida on Tuesday. Suddenly, Police Officer Courtney Bannick began having difficulty breathing, appearing to be out of breath and choking. Her colleagues came to her as she lost consciousness of her.
They lowered her to the ground and found she needed “immediate medical attention,” according to the local police statement. They decided to give him a shot of Narcan, a product to combat opioid overdoses.

Courtney Bannick has recovered. She speaks. Then she lost consciousness again. Her colleagues gave her two more doses of Narcan and she was treated and hospitalized.
The policewoman is recovering and should recover fully, specifies the “New York Post”.
What happened? During this checkup, Courtney Bannick was obviously exposed to fentanyl, a powerful opioid. It appears the drugs were hidden in a rolled up dollar bill. An unfortunate storm would be responsible for the rest.
“I am grateful that I was not alone and that I had immediate help,” the policewoman commented. She wanted the images broadcast to raise awareness of the dangers of fentanyl.
