United States: 6 million fewer Pay TV subscribers in 2022

Leichtman Research Group, Inc. (LRG) Reveals 2022 Numbers for Major US Telecom Carriers and Pay TV Providers.

The latter lost around 5.9 million subscribers with net losses of more than 1.2 million subscribers versus 4.7 million in 2021.

Comcast, Charter, Cox, Altice, Mediacom, Breezeline and Cable One have 37.8 million subscribers (3.5 million subscribers lost in 2022 compared to 2.7 million in 2021), the traditional services of DirectTV, DishTV , VerizonFIOS and Frontier are displayed with 24.1 million subscribers (2.7 million lost in 2022 compared to 2.9 million in 2021), as for virtual pay TV services (vMVPD) boasting 8.3 million subscribers (gain of 371,000 subscribers in 2022), including Hulu, SlingTV and fuboTV.
