United Nations warns of catastrophe: “Never before so many malnourished children in Yemen”

The survey was conducted for 133 southern districts in Yemen, home to 1.4 million children under the age of five. The analysis shows that the number of cases of acute malnutrition has increased by almost 10 percent in 2020. The greatest increase can be seen in young children suffering from severe acute malnutrition. That is an increase of 15.5 percent in 2020.
