C.It hadn’t arrived for two years. Due to the covid-19 pandemic, heads of state and government from around the world have not met physically since 2019. In 2020 and 2021, they had to make do with teleconferencing. As the diplomats summarize, “it wasn’t the same size at all, nothing better than face-to-face contact.”
This year New York is renewed with the annual meeting of the United Nations welcoming the delegations of the 193 member states to the sound of the sirens of the presidential and ministerial marches supervised by the New York police.
