United Nations Delivers Fourth Shipment of Humanitarian Supplies to Gaza Strip Amid Ongoing Conflict

The United Nations announced on the 24th that the fourth shipment of humanitarian supplies entered the Gaza Strip, where the conflict between Israel and the Palestinian armed faction Hamas continues.

A spokesperson for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) said that 20 trucks were initially scheduled to enter the Gaza Strip through the Rafah border in Egypt, but only 8 entered the Gaza Strip.

The Palestine Red Crescent, an Islamic Red Cross, also confirmed this in a statement, saying that five trucks were loaded with water, two with food, and one with medicine.
UNRWA did not comment on why the remaining 12 planes failed to enter Gaza.

The U.S. network ‘CNN’ reported that since the first humanitarian supplies were brought in on the 21st, 42 trucks loaded with relief supplies have entered the Gaza Strip.

Meanwhile, UNRWA announced on social media

In particular, the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) reported that more than one-third of hospitals and about two-thirds of major clinics in the Gaza Strip had ceased operations due to destruction or lack of fuel.

However, Israeli military spokesman Daniel Hagari reiterated his opposition to the import of fuel, saying that Hamas is stealing fuel from UNRWA and using it for military infrastructure.

The Israeli military claimed that Hamas had secured over 500,000 liters of fuel and that the fuel should be supplied by Hamas.
