United Group, the leading provider of telecommunications and media services in Southeast Europe, has announced that an agreement has been reached with Crystal Almond Holdings Limited to acquire Greek telecom operator Wind Hellas, one of the country’s three mobile operators.
Offering mobile, fixed, internet and television services, Wind has a total of 4.2 million users and generates revenues of over € 500 million per year.
The deal will allow United Group to combine Wind with its existing Greek pay-TV operator, Nova, to create a strong integrated operator that will be second in the country in providing broadband internet and TV services.
With an attractive field of activity and significant growth potential, the Wind-Nova combination will be able to deliver better integrated offers, new technologies and first-class service, increasing the value for Greek consumers.

The deal is subject to the usual regulatory approvals and is expected to be finalized in 2022.
In Bulgaria, United Group owns the telecommunications operator Vivacom and the largest multiplatform media company in the country – Nova Broadcasting Group.
