Manchester United gave up a victory against Southampton on Monday evening in the Premier League: 2-2. In Turkey, Eljero Elia scored in a spectacle for Istanbul Basaksehir.
Manchester United was trapped at Old Trafford after twelve minutes against Southampton by a stunner from Stuart Armstrong. Under the watchful eye of former coach Sir Alex Ferguson, the home team turned the backlog very quickly.
In the twentieth minute, Marcus Rashford pushed the ball into the far corner and three minutes later, Anthony Martial United gave the lead with a hard shot into the top left corner.
The formation of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer seemed to be on the way to victory, but Southampton still took a point deep in injury time. The newly substituted Michael Obafemi made the equalizer in the 97th minute.
Due to the draw, United fails to take over third place from Chelsea. The team remains fifth and has as many points as number four Leicester City and one point less than Chelsea. By reversing the European exclusion from Manchester City, the top four teams will receive a Champions League ticket.

Basaksehir down despite Elia goal
In Turkey, Elia was accurate for Istanbul Basaksehir. The Dutchman scored the third goal for his team in the 4-3 lost away match against Konyaspor.
Basaksehir trailed 3-1 at half-time, but came alongside less than fifteen minutes before the end by a player from Elia, who made his third league goal of the season. In the final phase, Konyaspor still took the three points.
Despite the loss, league-leader Basaksehir is close to the first league title in club history, as competitor Trabzonspor also went down. The number two lost 2-1 to Denizlispor.
Basaksehir’s lead over Trabzonspor is four points. There are two more games scheduled for both clubs.
