United Arab Emirates successfully launches the first Arab world mission to Mars (VIDEO)

The ship, which cost $ 200 million to build, is slated to reach the red planet in early 2021.

The United Arab Emirates has successfully carried out the launch of its space probe on Monday Mars Hope, the first Arab mission to Mars.

The launch was made through the Japanese H-IIA rocket from the Tanegashima Space Center in southern Japan. About an hour after takeoff, the probe unfolded solar panels to power your systems and established communication radio with the ground control center. If fulfilled as planned, Mars Hope will reach the red planet in seven months, in early 2021.

It was originally scheduled to launch on July 14, but had to be delayed twice due to bad weather conditions. The ship, whose construction cost the United Arab Emirates $ 200 million, aims to study the weather of Mars.
