Next Sunday, August 13, at At 20.00 at the Blessed Virgin Mary Square in Kielce, a unique concert will take place “Poland thanks you. #good words”. During the event, the premiere of the Świętokrzyskie Oratorio will also take place – „Not just about love with sermons in the background.”
Zbigniew Koniusz, the province governor of Świętokrzyskie and the co-organizer of the event, reminds that the concert will take place for the fourth time.
“I hope it will be a feast for everyone who comes to the concert. It’s one thing to be together. It’s going to be a sunny and warm day, and there will be a lot going on on stage. It will be both about love, about homeland, about motherhood. There will also be sermons from Świętokrzyskie in the form of a song. In addition, two episodes related to the sermons of John Paul II, which the Holy Father delivered during his visit to Masłów – he emphasizes.
The voivode points out that the concert is also an opportunity to remind and thank for an important historical event, which was the victory of the Polish army during the Battle of Warsaw.
– We meet for one reason: to thank each other for what was important in a given year. Until now, it was a thank you for your commitment to the fight against coronavirus or for helping refugees from Ukraine. What are we thankful for this year? Probably in part for everything, because these topics are still valid – adds Zbigniew Koniusz.
The Oratorio Świętokrzyski will perform, among others, Monika Urlik, Zofia Nowakowska, Sylwia Ziółkowska, Grzegorz Wilk, Andrzej Wiśniewski and Kuba Jurzyk. Narrator – Adam Szymanski. The singers will be accompanied by musicians from the Świętokrzyska Philharmonic under the direction of Mieczysław Smyda, the Garrison Choir of the Provincial Community Center in Kielce, the Choir of the Świętokrzyska Chamber of Physicians and students of the Academy of Music in Krakow. Artists from the Kielce Dance Theater will also perform on stage.
The concert is organized by the Świętokrzyskie Voivode, the Marshal of the Świętokrzyskie Voivodship, the Voivodeship Cultural Center in Kielce and Polish Radio Kielce.
Admission to the event is free. The concert will be available to watch live on the radiokielce.pl website, and the rebroadcast will be heard on Radio Kielce on Tuesday, August 15 at 7.05 pm.
