“Unique Albino Panda Sighted in China’s Wolong Nature Reserve”

The authorities of the Wolong National Nature Reserve, in Sichuan province, China, reported that images of a unique albino panda in the world have been captured. In a video recorded in February, the white panda is seen approaching a mother panda and her cub, who were resting in a tree hole.

Although the mother remained calm in the hole, the white panda returned to the spot after they left and explored the area. According to Wei Rongping, an expert on giant pandas, the cub in the video is between one and two years old, while the white panda is almost the size of an adult.

It is mentioned that at that time the wild pandas in Wolong were in rutting season, which could explain the aggressiveness of female pandas with cubs in the presence of an adult panda.
