Artificial intelligence now permeates many areas of our economy – including the insurance industry. But what exactly does that look like?

Wolf Gerlach, Director of Operations at UNIQA Insurance Group, sees the insurance of the future increasingly as an IT company. Many services that go beyond traditional insurance are also offered:
Employees, strongly supported by software and AI systems, should be freed from repetitive tasks and be more available for interpersonal contact. The aim is to support smaller insurance companies that do not have the resources to implement complex AI systems themselves – they should be able to outsource tasks to Uniqa.
