Unions file complaint about office duty Nouryon | Financial

Nouryon, the former chemical branch of paint company AkzoNobel, is said to have informed staff about office duty in a memo at the end of November. According to the complainants, this concerns 475 people who could also do their work from home. FNV director Monique Daamen points out, among other things, the health risks that employees run when they have to go to the office.

Example

She also acknowledges that the complaint against Nouryon can serve as an example for other employees who are required by their employer to come to the office, while also being able to do the work from home. “If employers ignore the rules and advice, we will never get out of the crisis,” says Daamen.

The Inspectorate SZW is handling the complaint. It is unknown to the unions how long this process will take. Nouryon, which has nine branches in the Netherlands, was not immediately available for comment today.
