Roccaverano. The “Langa Astigiana Val Bormida” Mountain Union has a new vehicle for the transport of drinking water and a new lateral road clearing cutter.
The new truck is Eurocargo ML180 Iveco, Euro6 diesel, white in color with two axles, with a full load of 18 tons, with a horizontal tank divided into 3 compartments for transporting water on the saddle, in AISI 304 stainless steel, 2 mm thick with flowered external finish and internal polished from HL 100.
«The idea of the tanker – explains the president of the Union and mayor of San Giorgio Scarampi, Marco Listello – was born from the need to deal with the severe water crisis of recent years. To deal with the emergency, the available EGATO6 resources for 2021 were allocated to the purchase of a vehicle suitable for transporting water to the identified rural aqueducts, i.e. those which due to geomorphological characteristics are not and cannot be connected to the AMAG water network.
Listello continues «We have a Ferri brush cutter with cutting head and attachment to the New Holland TS100 tractor, which is granted to the Municipalities of the Union as part of the Civil Protection function, and which alone cannot satisfy the requests for use by all the Municipalities , we therefore identified the need to purchase, with our own funds, a lateral road clearing cutter with impact protection system, to be able to carry out the cleaning of weeds on the edges of municipal roads, always to be made available to the Municipalities adhering to the Civil Protection function and to be used in the manner indicated in the guidelines for the use of the available equipment. Finally, on behalf of the administrators of the Unione Montana Langa Astigiana Val Bormida, we once again thank the Governing Body of Optimal Territorial Area n.6 Alessandrino for its collaboration and availability in implementing the purchase of the new tanker”.
