The Union County Board of Commissioners is pleased to present a beautiful collection of original artwork from the City of Plainfield Senior Center in the Commissioner’s Gallery. The gallery is located on the sixth (6) floor of the Union County Administration Building, Elizabethtown Plaza in Elizabeth. Residents are welcome to visit and enjoy the art exhibit during gallery hours Monday through Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
The exhibition displays artwork created as part of a program funded by the Local Arts Program grant through the Office of Cultural and Heritage Affairs. It includes a wide range of pieces, such as quilts, jewelry, works on paper, mixed media, and ceramics. The exhibition will be open to the public until April 12.
“Union County is proud of the exceptional talents possessed by many of our residents, and today, this pride extends to the senior community,” said Presiding Commissioner Kimberly Palmieri-Mouded. “The artwork displayed in this gallery is a demonstration of the continued creative and artistic mastery that thrives within this group. It is truly inspiring, and we would like to show our senior community the love and support they deserve by visiting the exhibition. Hope to see you there!”
