Uninterrupted influx in the Offenbach district

The Offenbach district is still an immigration region. As of 30 September 2022, there were exactly 361,176 people in the 13 municipalities. This is 662 more people than at the end of the second quarter of 2022. Compared to the end of the year 2021, this is 3,710 people more. On average, 1,014 people per square kilometer live in the Offenbach district.

“The Offenbach district is still an immigration region,” says district administrator Oliver Quilling. “However, the repeated record poses great challenges to us together with the municipalities. Infrastructures, such as nurseries and schools, must grow accordingly to guarantee the quality of life”.

The largest city in the district is still Rodgau with 46,327 people. This is followed by Dreieich with 42,225 inhabitants. There was a change in third and fourth place. Neu-Isenburg is now with 39,253 inhabitants ahead of Langen with 39,043 inhabitants. 34,798 people live in the district capital of Dietzenbach.

In the center are the cities of Mühlheim with 29,050 inhabitants, Rödermark with 28,730 and Obertshausen with 25,145 inhabitants. Seligenstadt follows with 21,479 people ahead of Heusenstamm with 19,360 people. With a population of 14,401, Hainburg is the most populous municipality in the district, followed by Egelsbach with 11,460 and Mainhausen with 9,905 inhabitants.
