Unilever wants to raise prices further to improve profits | Economy

The food company Unilever wants to raise the prices of its products further next year and also in 2024. As costs continue to rise, the company plans to raise prices again. Unilever reported this on Thursday when it presented its quarterly data.

The company behind Magnum ice cream, Calvé peanut butter and Omo detergent, among others, is facing rising costs. These include higher wages, more expensive energy, and rising commodity prices. This expenditure is expected to increase further in the coming years.

In addition, the all-British company recently decided to further increase its margins. The group wants to do this not only by raising prices, but also by cutting costs.

Unilever has previously implemented price increases on average of 12%. As a result, customers bought 1.6% fewer products in the third quarter. However, turnover increased by more than 10 percent to € 15.8 billion.
