Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk (UNVR) decided to distribute cash dividends to its shareholders worth Rp 4.1 trillion. So that the shareholders will get cash dividends worth Rp 107 / share.
This dividend is planned to be distributed to shareholders no later than August 19, 2020.
The dividend does not include interim dividends distributed on 18 December 2019 amounting to Rp 3.3 trillion. At that time the shareholders received IDR 430 / share before the stock split or equivalent to IDR 86 / share after the stock split.
This decision was obtained at the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGM) held today Friday (24/7/2020).
Late last year Unilever Indonesia posted a net profit of Rp 7.4 trillion, down 18.68% compared to the same period in 2018 which was recorded at Rp 9.1 trillion.
Although the net profit has decreased the company managed to record net sales of Rp 42.9 trillion, an increase of 4.8% over the same period the previous year. This increase in sales was driven by domestic sales growth which increased 5.8% thanks to various initiatives and innovations carried out by the Company in 2019.
If compared directly, the Company’s sales growth in 2019 is indeed seen to increase by 2.7%. This is because the 2018 net sales still contain sales in the Spreads category.
To obtain an equivalent comparison, the sales figures of the Spreads category divested by the Company in the third quarter of 2018 must be excluded from the net sales figures in 2018, so as to obtain a 2019 net sales growth rate of 4.8%
