Ciamis News, (harapanrakyat.com), – A number of lecturers of Mathematics Education Study Program FKIP Unigal conducted training for Sawargi MSMEs, in the Griya Sukma Hills Perum area, Monday (21/02/2022).
The activity in the context of community service (PKM) carries the theme “Training the Use of Canva Applications in Optimizing Marketing of MSME Products, Typical Food of the Ciamis Region”.
Sri Solihah, M.Pd, Member of the Service Team, told HR Online, saying, MSMEs have a very important role in the country’s economy.
The reason, said Sri, is that the MSME sector is the largest contributor to GDP, absorbs the most employment opportunities, and is relatively resistant to the financial crisis.
According to Sri, the Sawargi MSME is one of the MSMEs engaged in food processing, the typical food of the Ciamis region, namely Saroja.
However, Sri assessed that the lack of knowledge related to the use of simple technology was one of the factors for the underdevelopment of Sawargi MSME products.
Therefore, Sri added, it is necessary to master this simple technology.
And marketing, continued Sri, is one that is the focus of attention of SME activists.
In line with that, Nur Eva Zakiah, M.Pd., a member of the service team, emphasized that her party wanted to share insights and experiences with Sawargi UKM.
“Especially in the use of simple technology using the Canva application,” he said.
Eva revealed that the steps that her party carried out in this PKM were, firstly, providing an understanding of the use of the Canva application.
Then, practice using the Canva application, assisting in product design and marketing.
“And the distribution of poster designs and creative presentation videos through various social media,” he said.
Eva added that online marketing is an effort so that Sawargi MSME products can be widely spread and accessed by various groups.
On the same occasion, Sri and Eva hoped that the PKM activities they carried out would contribute to the advancement of the Ciamis Regional Specialty Food MSME product. (Deni/R4/HR-Online)
