In this period of inflation, Uni Santé has found a way to give back some purchasing power to nursing home residents. The Marseille brokerage company has just designed a supplementary health plan for them which promises a saving of 50%, with equal benefits, compared to a traditional senior mutual fund. Supporting example: a couple in their 90s (92 and 95 years old), recently supported by this coverage, have just released an annual budget of 4,216 euros from the household’s annual budget, enough to pay a month’s rent or spoil their grandchildren.
To achieve this result, Uni Santé has sorted through the services covered. “Many are useless because they are already covered in the care package of medical retirement establishments,” explains its general director, Paul Delanglade. Nursing care or heavy treatments for diabetes appear, for example, in this category. But they are taken into account in the calculation of the price scales of traditional mutual insurance companies.
