Unhappy Tesla owner trades in for Nissan Pathfinder 2006 model

“Unhappy Tesla owner”:

– The Tesla nightmare is over, says Ruben Jonassen. The man who became known as the “unhappy car owner” has instead bought an 18-year-old diesel SUV.

Ruben is an unhappy Tesla owner:

– Many people turn around after my car

– This is a real diesel beast.

Last year, Ruben Jonassen in Bodø became one of the country’s best-known critics of Tesla, after he had a number of problems with his Tesla Model 3.

Among other things, the rear lights were half full of water, so that neither the running lights nor the turn signals work – despite the fact that the lights have been changed four times. In addition, the varnish on the ducts came off.

Jonassen was so upset that he foiled the car with a sour face and the text “Unlucky car owner”. He was mentioned both in Motor, in a large number of local newspapers, on Din Side and in NRK.

– But now I am a happy owner of a Nissan Pathfinder 2006 model. Here there are no water leaks, the paint is smooth, and I am very pleased, says Jonassen.

Sold back

He agreed with Tesla Norway to sell the car back to them, for a sum he cannot tell.

– But I am satisfied with the agreement, he says.

However, he is still critical of Tesla.

– I was unlucky and got a Monday car. All car brands can have it. But the question is how the problems are dealt with by the car brand.

– Skeptical

With the money, he has bought himself the 17-year-old diesel SUV Nissan Pathfinder.

– It’s going well. I also had a diesel car before I bought a Tesla.

– Would you consider Tesla or electric again?

– It can certainly be an electric car. But I’m skeptical of Tesla after arguing with them for two and a half years. In that case, they must make changes in the way they treat customers.

– Was there no other electric car you could consider?

– No, not in the price range we wanted to buy in. We want a car without a loan. Then it became the Pathfinder. It is also practical for us with seven seats. We have four children now, with “yours, mine and ours”.

Ruben Jonassen did not tear off the foiling before he delivered the Tesla back to Tesla.

– No, I delivered it as it was. But I assume that they remove the foiling before selling the car on, smiles Ruben Jonassen.
