Star Wars: Rangers of the New Republic has been canceled, we now hear from Kathleen Kennedy.
Just over a year ago, the series Star Wars: Rangers of the New Republic announced. It had to turn around The Mandaloriancharacter Cara Dune. But it has now been completely deleted.
Less than two months after the announcement of Star Wars: Rangers of the New Republic Gina Carano was fired from her contract with Lucasfilm. She would no longer be involved in any projects for Lucasfilm, due to posts she posted on social media that fans were highly critical of. At the time, it was not announced what the consequences of the dismissal would be for the series. But those consequences have now been announced.

During an interview with Empire Magazine, Kennedy said: “We’ve never written screenplays for that or anything like that. Some of that will probably be associated with The Mandalorian in the future.”
That’s no surprise given the small amount of updates we got about the project Star Wars: Rangers of the New Republic. The sparse update came in May 2021 via Variety.
Variety wrote the following at the time: “A third spin-off announced, Rangers of the New Republic, is not currently in active development”.
