The team of Atalanta won with 3:0 the team of Marseille in the second leg of the 1/2-finals of Europa League. The goals for the triumph scored Ademola Luukman (30′), Matteo Ruggeri (52′) and El Bilal Toure (90’+5′). Thus, the team from Bergamo qualified for the first European final in their history.
The rivals drew 1:1 in France a week ago and so the Italians qualified for the last match of the competition with a total score of 4:1.
This is a historic success for the Italian team, which for the first time reached a match for the trophy in the European tournaments.
The new German champion Bayer (Leverkusen) and last year’s finalist in Europa League Roma finished 2-2 at the BayArena in the second leg of the semi-final stage of the tournament.
Leandro Paredes was on target from two penalties in the 43rd and 66th minutes, but Gianluca Mancini scored an own goal in the 82nd minute. In the last seconds, reserve Josip Stanisic scored an equalizer for the home team.
And Leverkusen is writing a big story, having so far not lost a single defeat in all competitions all season!
