In Vidauban (Var), local residents were surprised at the end of the night. The swirling winds caused a pine tree to fall, which knocked down a wall. Brigitte and Wilfrid were very scared. “Around 5:55 a.m., we heard an impossible wind, gusts, rain. When we got up, we found ourselves in complete darkness, we ran to get the children”testifies the young woman. “There were sounds of tiles falling, flying away, relate Wilfried. Then a big ‘boom’, I went out and saw the pine and the wall falling.”
They don’t know if they will be able to sleep at home tonight. Like them, around twenty homes were affected in Vidauban.
