The five representative trade union groups and the three employer groups are due to meet on 22 October, with further sessions planned for 29 October as well as 4, 8 and 14 November.
A series of scheduled meetings between now and November 15. The trade unions and employers’ groups agreed on the evening of Wednesday 16 October on a timetable for negotiations on
unemployment insurance regulations and measures to encourage the employment of the elderly,
according to sources confirmed by AFP.
Meeting with video conference, the
five representative trade union groups (CFDT, CGT, FO, CFE-CGC, CFTC) and the three employers’ groups (Medef, CPME, U2P)
plans to meet on October 22 from 1 p.m. Other sessions are then planned for October 29 as well as November 4, 8 and 14, AFP learned from union sources. Discussions on unemployment insurance and employment for the elderly will be held at the same time. An additional session can be added if necessary on November 15.
The government officially invited unions and employers last week to negotiate on both issues, in line with the desire expressed by Prime Minister Michel Barnier in his general policy declaration. In a letter, Labor Minister Astrid Panosyan-Bouvet told them that she kept from her discussions with the social partners “a
