Unemployed in Ukraine made life easier: Cabinet adopted a resolution

The Cabinet of Ministers allowed to remotely confirm the status unemployed in the center of employment. This opportunity will be valid until the end of the quarantine.

Relevant decree adopted by the government Wednesday, March 10th. It also regulates other mechanisms for providing the population with employment services.

In particular, document such changes are envisaged:

  • confirmation of the unemployed status to the unemployed during the quarantine period in remote mode, without the need to visit the employment center directly;

  • an increase in the period for submitting documents to employment centers on the basis of which they were granted the status of unemployed during the quarantine period online – from 10 to 30 days;

  • introduction of remote employment plan preparation;

  • obtaining the right to undergo professional training by persons released from military service after participating in the ATO, until they reach retirement age;

  • granting employers the right to receive compensation for the payment of ERUs for the employment of unemployed able-bodied persons who receive state social assistance to low-income families.

“The Ministry of Economy is constantly working to expand unemployment programs and simplify access to them so that people can quickly and easily receive funds, as well as find new decently paid jobs,” said Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine Igor Petrashko.

As reported OBOZREVATEL, in Ukraine at the end of 2020 the number of unemployed increased by a third – up to 485.3 thousand people… The services of the State Employment Center during the past year were used by 2.2 million Ukrainians looking for work, of which 1.2 million people had the status of registered unemployed. 1.1 million people received unemployment assistance.
