At the origin of the Martinère association Une Montagne de jeux, there are two enthusiasts and a chance encounter. Jérémy Tronc and Bilel Louahem M’Sabah discovered a common passion during a meeting with friends… And the idea of creating an association quickly became obvious.
Une Montagne de jeux, is a reference which perfectly corresponds to its vocation, an association in the heart of the mountains of the capital of the Alps and which has a mountain of games… Because the association runs on a personal background of games provided by the two protagonists, with more than 400 games available, and the future ambition of creating a real game library in Saint-Martin-d’Hères.
“We learn a lot, we learn about ourselves and others”
Today, Une Montagne de jeux has around sixty members, constantly growing, but often many more players, because members sometimes come as families. Evenings are organized in various rooms that the Saint-Martin-d’Hères Community Life service makes available to associations. Une Montagne de jeux is today looking for fixed slots, all year round, to have an anchor point for its members and to develop its activity.
Fun, renewable experiences with the abundance of games available, collaborative games, strategy games, brain games.
“The virtues of the game no longer need to be demonstrated,” Bilel further explained: “We learn a lot, we learn about ourselves and about others. At all ages, the game is educational and fulfilling. »
Game references have multiplied in recent years and allow for constant renewal. For those who do not have a competitive spirit, there are, for example, more and more collaborative games requiring collective thinking, consultation, mutual assistance and listening. We all play or lose together.
Jérémy and Bilel are inexhaustible on the subject: “Around a gaming table, we start talking, laughing, negotiating, sharing, vibrating, without even knowing what the other is doing, where they are coming from. comes and what he thinks. And it feels good to let go and be carefree. We all play together, we have fun, we share a friendly moment, we escape and we forget the tensions and the little annoyances of everyday life.”
Bilel and Jérémy participate in the creation of social bonds through board games and the intra-family and intergenerational bonds that it promotes and offers, an intelligent alternative to addiction to the screens of smartphones and other tablets.

“Une Montagne de jeux has more than 400 game references of all difficulties and all types: specific two-player games, evolving scenario games, collaborative games, quest games, confrontation games, construction games, puzzle games. figurines, party games, general knowledge games…” explains Jérémy Tronc. “The two enthusiasts are thus sure of being able to reach all audiences, even people who a priori do not like to play. » We can cite for example, among many others, board strategy games, such as Res Acarna, Ark Nova or Tapestry, or even the thrilling and addictive Deus, addicts will appreciate!
