“The police came for a check at our request, but many more officers came than we expected,” said Van der Bunt. She explains that there have been no weapons and drug controls for almost two years because of corona. The board had decided to do it again for safety reasons.

“A number of students were taken out of the classroom and at least six of them had to be naked in a room squat of the agents. We’re really baffled about that, that’s a black page for us. We expect you to be safe with the police.”

The school was closed yesterday and today and has called in the Victim Support Foundation for students and teachers who need it. The Public Prosecution Service in Curaçao is investigating the case.
