The traffic sign below shows a narrow road ahead

The sign also warns the driver to slow down and watch out for cars in traffic. It is recommended to check your route before leaving home and try to choose the safest route you have in mind to your destination

In the Road Code, the indicator “Road narrows on both sides” is located 100-200 m from the place where the road sector begins to narrow on both sides by at least half a meter. When meeting this indicator, the driver can preemptively reduce speed, and stopping, stationary, reversing and turning maneuvers are prohibited.

Drivers who drive at speed on a narrow road, and not only that, must know that they can be fined with 2-3 penalty points and a fine between 290 lei and 435 lei.

Another traffic sign that puts drivers in trouble

An indicator recently introduced in the Highway Code is unknown to most drivers. He shows that parking cars is alternative. It is mounted on public road sectors where stopping of cars is not allowed on odd days, and the ban ends at the first intersection corner in the direction of travel.

This indicator can be placed together with additional panels, which show the beginning of the area of action of the indicator, confirmation of the area of action, but also its end, or arrows having the same meaning.

Similar to this indicator is the one that prohibits parking on even days. This is marked with two lines. As with the odd-day stationary indicator, it also stops working at the nearest corner of the intersection.
