Lecturers:
Spängler Bank
Each of us knows the basic principle of a bank: the bank takes money from customers and these deposits are in turn given to other customers as loans. In return, depositors receive interest and borrowers pay interest. But how does this affect a bank’s income statement? How are individual branches measured – keyword contribution margin calculation? Is it sufficient for a bank to only refinance itself through customer deposits?
In our presentation we would like to give you a deeper insight into the structures of a bank. Together we clarify questions about refinancing and the special features of bank controlling. Using Bankhaus Spängler as an example, we show the largest income and cost items of a bank. These are the basis for the profit and loss account and the contribution margin calculation.
