Insufficient number of credits

Retirees living in certain countries
- The U.S. Treasury Department prohibits paying benefits to people residing in Cuba or North Korea. You can receive the withheld payments when you return to the United States. According to the Social Security Lawthose who are not US citizens will not be able to receive benefits for the months they lived in Cuba or North Korea.
Tax evaders
- Self-employed workers must file their tax return and contribute if they wish to receive Social Security benefits in retirement, and they must also have proof of all these documents when entering the system. If you don’t do it, you don’t qualify.
