HIV is a virus that attacks the human immune system, HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) is a virus that attacks and destroys the human body’s immunity, especially in white blood cells called CD4 cells. So, HIV will weaken the human body against opportunistic infections, such as pneumonia, salmonella, candidiasis, toxoplasma, and tuberculosis (TB). In addition, this virus also damages the protection of cancer cells. Serious HIV virus attack causes AIDS (Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome). AIDS can also be called HIV stage 3 with complex conditions and symptoms.
In Indonesia, the spread and transmission of HIV is mostly caused by unsafe sex and by sharing unsterile needles when using drugs. The promiscuous lifestyle and the rise of injecting drugs make the risk of transmitting the HIV AIDS virus even higher. The use of sharing needles puts teenagers at risk of contracting it.
Seeing the high increase in HIV cases in Indonesia, of course, education and socialization really need to be intensified in society, especially among teenagers who are still in school to minimize the occurrence of associations that lead to unwanted things. Of course, we have to be able to hold them together so that they can be directed to positive things so as to avoid inappropriate associations such as free sex and of course other things that can trigger this free sex. Therefore we can prevent it from now on by avoiding free sex, staying away from drugs, and avoiding using unsterile needles and if you feel mild symptoms such as signs of HIV and AIDS, immediately consult a specialist in internal medicine with the closest Family Partners.
The treatment itself is a drug that has been found for HIV therapy, namely Antiretroviral (ARV). The function of ARVs is to inhibit the growth of the virus so that people living with HIV do not get opportunistic infections, and they can remain as productive as non-PLWHA. To get ARVs, patients must consult a doctor so that they are given a prescription.
