For this reason, Hasan Sadikin Bandung Provincial General Hospital (RSUP) oncology surgeon Kiki Rizki stated that it is important for men to also check their health to detect the possibility of breast cancer.

“The anticipation is the same as for women, early detection, either BSE or SADANIS,” he said, as reported by Antara.

SADARI is Self Breast Examination, while SADANIS is Clinical Breast Examination.

According to Dr. Kiki, early detection is very important considering that breast cancer also targets men.

Symptoms of breast cancer in men, said Kiki, are identical to those experienced by women, namely a lump around the breast that gets bigger and can burst into a festering wound.

“The symptoms are relatively the same as women, lumps in the breasts that get bigger and can burst into ulcers,” he explained.

According to Kiki, hormonal factors are the main cause of breast cancer in men.

The treatment for breast cancer in men is the same as in women.

“The management process is the same as for women, but usually because men’s breasts are small they often present with locally advanced stages,” he said.
