Initially, Chelsea’s desire is to loan the midfielder to a Brazilian club that competes in the Libertadores of America. With that, the Biggest National Champion saw the situation as an opportunity to reinforce the squad for the season and guarantee a replacement for Danilo, sold to Nottingham Forest.
The team is looking for an option to occupy the vacancy of Cria da Academia in the starting lineup since the sale of the young man was completed. The Palestrian board showed interest in names like Jean Lucas and Matheus Henrique, but did not send proposals.
Palmeiras, however, is not the only one interested in Andrey’s football. Other national and Turkish teams are in contention. However, the current situation in the Turkish country, which recently suffered a strong earthquake, increases the chance of a return to Brazil. Verdão, however, counts on the good relationship with the player’s staff to advance in the business and, thus, count on the athlete until the end of the year.
Andrey is 18 years old and was sold to Chelsea for R$ 82 million fixed and R$ 43.5 million in goals. The athlete stood out at Vasco in 2022 and attracted the eyes of the English club. However, despite the good performance in the South American Under-20 won by Brazil, the defensive midfielder did not get a work visa to play in the Premier League.
