From Ameland case took a bizarre turn last season. For five years, an anonymous stalker terrorized Edward’s family, the rest of his family, and the neighborhood. Edward was forced to leave for Ameland with his family to start a new life there. To no avail: the stalking continued unabated. The stalker turned out to be Edward’s youngest son. He was then removed from his home and the stalking stopped.
But the ball has started rolling again now that mother Nynke tells Thijs that her daughter is receiving terrible messages. Her daughter’s boyfriend is Edward’s youngest son: the boy Thijs has designated as the stalker. One plus one turns out to be two in this case too.

Nynke says that her daughter has been stalked and threatened via messages since April last year. “We (the parents, ed.) also appear in the messages. That he wants to do something to us. We are really threatened,” she explains. She was shocked when she first read the messages. Her daughter was very scared. “We went straight to the police.”
The police could do nothing for the family, but the stalking continued. If Nynke is behind the conscious episode of Sailor Confronts: Stalkers comes, she does the math. “He may have something to do with this, that he is screwing everything up here. The messages … something is not right. (…) Edward’s son is behind this again.”

The parallels with the Ameland case are striking, according to Thijs. Edward denies that his son is involved in this case. Meanwhile, Nynke’s daughter refuses to believe that her boyfriend is her stalker. She rebels against her mother and moves in with Edward’s family on Ameland.
When the investigation shows that Edward’s son is the stalker again, they decide to intervene. An underage boy does not want to address Thijs, so he starts a conversation with Edward. He doesn’t want to believe that his son has become involved in a stalking case again and is still holding his hand over his head.

Nynke’s daughter is now convinced that her boyfriend is the stalker. She broke off the relationship and lives with her parents again. The family now hopes to finally get some rest. Edward’s youngest son has been taken in by the police for questioning. The police investigation is still ongoing.
