Quoted from detikSulsel, the accident occurred on Route Two, Jalan Bulu Pakoro, Temmassarange Village, Paleteang District, on Thursday (18/5) at around 17.15 WITA. The car was driven by an ABG girl with the initials L (14). Besides the victim, there were two other people in the car, each with the initials S (12) and R (12).
“Three people were in the car. His position L was driving the car, then the owner of the car S sat behind and R sat next to the driver L,” explained Head of the Pinrang Police Traffic Police AKP Agus Salim
During the incident, said Agus, the Honda HRV turned over because L panicked when he stepped on the gas too deeply. Thus making the car lose control.
“Allegedly he panicked when he stepped on the gas and lost control hitting a tree so that the car overturned,” he explained.
As a result of the accident, L was immediately rushed to the hospital (RS) for treatment. The other two friends were not injured.
“There were no victims, only the L driver had a swollen wound on his right forehead and was treated at ST Khadijah Pinrang Hospital at the time of the incident, but has returned home,” he explained.

Driving Safety Practitioner, Andry Berlianto, said that there are several reasons that the mandatory age is one of the conditions for making a SIM. The age of 17 years is believed to be quite mature physically and mentally. Those who are 17 years old are considered capable of thinking about which things are dangerous and which are not.
“Physically, the average body height at this age is able to put their feet on the ground when driving or pressing the pedals in a car,” said Andry.
He said, under the age of 17 years are still vulnerable to potential accidents for mental and physical reasons. For accident insurance matters involving children under the age of 17, the insurance cannot be claimed.
“Meanwhile, it is believed that at the age of 17 you already have a sense of responsibility. And from a medical point of view, the average age of 17 is that the human brain has developed optimally, especially in terms of focus,” he said.
