As of today, June 1, 2021, including Bulgarian citizens will be admitted to Turkey across all borders without a test against COVID-19, if they have a document for vaccination against coronavirus or a document that they have suffered from the disease within the last 6 months. Today, our embassy in Ankara was informed about this with a note from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkey, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced.
According to our diplomatic mission, the vaccination must be done 14 days before entering Turkey, and the document for illness must be issued by a competent institution. When citizens do not have such documents to pass through Turkey’s land, sea and air border checkpoints, they must present a negative PCR test performed 72 before entering the country or a negative antigen test performed 48 hours before entering the country. from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Exempted from these requirements are the crews of vehicles transiting through the country’s airports and children up to 6 years of age. The above rules do not apply to those coming from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Brazil, South Africa, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Egypt, Singapore and the United Kingdom, for which stricter restrictions have been imposed.
From June 1, 2021, the current restrictions on the current coronavirus pandemic in Turkey will be gradually relaxed. Under the new regulations, curfews continue on weekdays between 22:00 and 05:00. Saturdays will also be allowed between 05:00 and 22:00.
The ban on leaving the home will only apply from 22:00 on Saturday until 05:00 on Monday. On Sundays, only grocery stores located within walking distance of the homes are allowed. On Sunday, they will work between 10:00 and 17:00, reminded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Citizens over the age of 65 who have not been vaccinated will be able to go out of their homes only between 10:00 and 14:00 on weekdays and Saturdays. The ban on the use of public transport by people over 65 and under 18 remains in force.
Shopping malls, restaurants and pubs can receive customers between 07:00 and 21:00 on weekdays and Saturdays. Home deliveries are allowed until 24:00 every day. On weekdays and Saturdays, gyms, amusement parks and sports facilities are also open from 07:00 until 21:00, and markets are open between 07:00 and 20:00. The cinemas will be open subject to conditions. to use 50% of their capacity. Indoor swimming pools, Turkish baths, saunas, massage rooms, casinos, taverns and pubs remain closed.
PCR test for BGN 20 upon entering Turkey
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs draws attention to the fact that the exemption from curfew restrictions for foreigners is valid only for foreigners who are temporarily in the country within the framework of used tourist services. Foreigners who are outside the scope of tourism activities in Turkey, including temporary residents and applicants for temporary or international protection status, are not exempt from the restrictions.
