On October 28, the judoka community around the world will celebrate World Judo Day, which will have “Wellbeing” as its central theme, as a tribute to the birthday of Jigoro Kano, founder of this martial discipline.

For this year, the IJF chose “Wellness”, which is not only the absence of illness or disease, but also a complex combination of physical, mental, emotional and social health factors of a person.
“Well-being is closely linked to happiness and life satisfaction. Simply put, well-being could be described as how you feel about yourself and your life.”
Under these ideas, the International Judo Federation has launched an invitation to all practitioners to join this celebration with testimonies, ideas and publications that reflect the Well-being that judo brings to their lives.
